Gefüllte Tomaten mit Pecorino

Ingredients for 20 person / Zutaten für 20 Personen

  • 40   tomatoes / Tomaten
  • 300 ml   olive oil / Olivenöl
  • 1000 g   young pecorino / junger Pecorino
  • 500 g   basmati rice, cooked / gekochter Basmati-Reis
  • Oregano
  • salt, pepper / Salz, Pfeffer

Making

Cut a lid from the tomatoes. Scrape our the seeds and some of the flesh. Salt the hollowed tomatoes on the inside and let it drain upside down for 30 minutes. Oven 200 °C. Mix cheese, rice, oregano and pepper together in a mass and salt if necessary. Fill the tomatoes with it and bake in an oiled baking dish for 20 minutes. Serve warm.
